Solar Cube

The life of the people living in the areas that are short of water may improve in the near future thanks to a novel system of water purification designed by Spectra Watermakers. Called “Solar Cube,” the system is based on wind powered purification units.

The “Solar Cube” was designed supply the US Army with pure water in the desert zones like Iraq. The project will be tested in south America and it is said to produce up to 1500 gallons of fresh water per day. First delivered to Florida International University, was then shipped to Chile to be tested on both civilians and military men. The system water purification system is able to convert into pure water even the sea water. Thanks to the novel technology it can be powered by its solar panels and a wind generator.

A great discovery was that it can be also used in Iraq, because the conditions found at the Chilean Army Special Force Base were similar to the ones found in the Middle East country. Also the tests run in Chile would be able to support the military operations.

Being easy to transport and powered by clean energy, the “Solar Cube” could prove itself very useful in emergency situations by providing fresh water in a refugee camp. The “Solar Cube” is also easy to operate and features a self-cleaning pre-filtration water purification system. Well, the only major setback is the fact that the Solar Cube is price at $38,000, but I think the US Army has enough money to buy at least one for every troupe.
