In a future where gasoline-powered cars will no longer exist, we will need new ways to propel our cars therefore designer Hossein Ghahramani proposes electromagnetic propulsion, a system that resembles MagLev trains.

This concept car is called Cellogan and its design was inspired by a feline as its body is curved and it doesn’t have any sharp part. Although the car was developed under Peugeot’s supervision, I can’t see many similarities between Peugeot’s regular cars and this concept.

According to the designer, Peugeot will only have to deal with safety and environmental matters, so that this futuristic concept could be fast, but in the same time safe and eco-friendly. When the Cellogan will not be on a magnetic road, it will move thanks to its three 360-degree caterpillar rubber track wheels.

The designer seems pretty confident that his concept will enter on the market really soon, however, I think that we won’t have any magnetic cars or roads in the future as these would be too expensive, hard to build and to maintain.

hey you know how when you put opposite sided magnets close to each other they push away from each other…… Well maybe you can do that to your car, and maybe that will give the world a good idea to make magnetic roads. So what im trying to say is if the bottom of the car is an opposite side magnet to the road maybe the car will hover because the road is magnetic ,but also maybe the car would be thrown to the side because the fact that the opposite sides repel….. so well im only trying to give you an idea. unless you already thought of that besides im only a 14 year old kid theres no way that would actually work

Iam 13 years old.I had this idea 5 years ago when my teacher taught us about electro magnetism.I am know secretly studying if we could make electromagnetically powered cars. What i have come to understand is that it would work because the earth itself is basically a giant magnet.GE has created an electric hummer that runs on a lithium battery. If we make the battery a little stronger than it already is we could hook it up to a magnet big enough to lift a 1/2 ton proto-type.If this works we would have no need for roads, because we would have a flying car.Plus the battery would only have to be replaced every ten years. Also if we hook a solor panel up to the cars battery, that could help add maybe an extra year on to the life span of the battery.Either way it will help the environment and economy because there will be little polution and as long as people will be smart enough to stop saving there money all the time and spend a little more.I know that people want to save there money for things like their kids colledge funds and their own retirement, but if we spend more prices will go down, jobs will be saved because businesses wont have to cut budgets which means fewer people layed off each year.Overall it will help everyone.

me and my friend are doin a science project on this concept what do you think the things we will need to make this happen on a smaller scale????????????
