Sony Ericsson is trying to revolutionize the world of cellphone cameras as they will integrate a 8-megapixel camera into the C905. The plans of the company might be ruined by Samsung which announced that they will release a cellphone with a camera like that in the UK soon.

The camera is very powerful and it will feature Cybershot, auto-focus, image stabilizer and a 16x digital zoom. Pretty impressive, right? You will also be able to create a photo album and to view videos in playback. Pay attention to this, if you are in a dark spot and you are trying to record something, a second flash will make your life a whole lot easier.

The photos will be viewed on a 2.4-inch TFT display and it seems like the camera manages to work on 3264 x 2448 pixels at 30 FPS. Sony Ericsson C905 features a GPS with geotagging photos, FM radio, an advanced media player, 160 MB of internal memory, a 2 GB micro card which is expandable up to 32 GB, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The Sony Ericsson C905 Cybershot should be available sometime October, but for the moment we don’t know anything about the price. My guess is that it will be a little too expensive due to the 8-megapixel camera so we will have to wait and see what amount they want to take away from our pockets.
