Nokia Unveils The N97 With Touchscreen

Nokia finally unveiled their future greatest cellphone! What do I mean? It’s the N97 which looks great, but the features will make it one of the best ever! So far, Nokia only developed “multimedia computers” like the N80, N85, N95, N95 8GB, and N96. However, Nokia can really say that the N97 will be a true competitor against Apple’s iPhone and T-Mobile’s G1.

The N97 will feature a 3.5-inch 640×360 touchscreen display, a sliding full-QWERTY keyboard, A-GPS, a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, dual LED flash and Carl Zeis lens, 32GB of on-board memory and a microSD card slot with a memory up to 16GB.

In order to make it more stable, Nokia has prepared the Symbian S60 v5 OS which touchscreen enhancement, and it seems like it will be slightly better than 5800’s. The touchscreen Nseries cellphone will feature 3G with HSDPA, Stereo Bluetooth (A2DP), Wi-Fi, Nokia Maps v3, FM radio, TV-Out, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The desktop of the N97 will be fully customizable which is great because you can add widgets like RSS feeds and Facebook, or sharing sevices like Share on Ovi. The battery life will be excellent with 37 hours of music playback and about 5 hours of video playback.

Well, Nokia announced that the N97 will be out in the first-half of 2009 for a price of €550. Kinda expensive, but maybe until then the economical crisis will be over!
